HOMEWORK

5 free exercise: READ BELOW HERE TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU SHOULD DO FOR HOMEWORK THIS WEEK THIS WEEK, what you are to do is draw anything you like. I would concentrate on something simple, like doing a still-life of simple objects on a table. If you are not sure what a still-life is, all it really consists of is a few things that you group on a table to draw. A few pieces of fruit grouped together is a pretty good subject, although for some that may be rather difficult because of all the curves. Many of you could afford to REDO the books drawing and make it nicer. When doing this drawing, concentrate on the shapes and the forms, the angles and the edges and NOT all the details on the cover of the book. Notice the shades and shadows instead. For those of you that need to make up some points that you missed from homework or missing classwork during the first half of the term, this week is for you to try and concentrate on doing some extra credit in addition to what I've assigned above.

Week 11:
7/20/09: Monday, 6:00pm
—7/22/09: Wednesday, 9:00am & 12:30pm

Hi everybody, I was not very happy with how much homework I saw from my students (that's you!) this week in any of my drawing classes. There are less than three weeks remaining now until the end of the term. Make them count and don't miss out on doing anymore homework. I was also not particularly happy with how many students (you again!) were absent this week from my drawing classes, and mostly by students who could least afford to miss. Keep that up and I'll see you again next term. For those who did attend, good work this week in class at least. Have a good weekend, and I hope to see more of you next week. Carter-
