Week 3:
 —05/29    Thur, 6pm
 —05/28    Wed, 9am & 12:30pm

Hi everybody, Hopefully by now, most of you have a pretty good idea how things are going to go in this class. Below you will see the links for this week, the classwork and the homework. For homework this week, like last week, you will require 2 files. One file consists of the instructions of what you are supposed to do, and the other file is an Illustrator file which you will need in order to complete the computer exercise due next week. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help. Carter-
Current:

Week 3 files:

1 LINKclasswork
2 LINKhomework - MS Word Instructions
3 LINKhomework - Adobe Illustrator Graphic—this is the file that you should use in the last homework in the handout. It is an .AI file, but for some using PC computers, this file will download as a .PDF file. Don't worry, however, the .pdf file will open up in Illustrator just as well. Let me know if you have further questions.

Week 2:
 —05/19    Mon, 6pm
 —05/21    Wed, 9am & 12:30pm

Hi everybody, Welcome to all of you who were not in class the first week of class. This is the blog for my class, Computer Drawing—DMA107. Here you will find all the handouts for the class, both the classwork and the homework. If you want to read about what we did in class, why we did it, how we did it, and an explanation of the exercise; or, if you would like to do the exercise again, then click on the link that says classwork to download the instructions. If you were not in class, you should do this and make sure that you do the exercises in your sketchbook like everyone else. I will take up the sketchbooks at midterm and expect to see all exercises there whether you were in class or not. Also, below the classwork link you will see a link for homework. Everyone needs to click on this link to download the instructions for the homework each week. Follow them very carefully. If you have any questions, please send me a message or an email. Carter-

Week 1: 05/12/08
  —Monday, 6:00pm
  —Wednesday, 9:00am & 12:30pm

Hi everyone, Well, this is the blog for the Computer Drawing class. It is a class for learning the basics of how to draw both by hand and in the computer. Therefore, you will acquire skills with drawing by hand from life with pencils and charcoal on paper and using Adobe Flash and Illustrator in the computer. I have just begun this blog, so, unlike the blogs for my other classes, it will be a more bare-bones affair. For the time being, I will not give a step-by-step set of instructions here online, as I do in my other blogs for my animation course and my web-design course. Instead, I will provide links for the weekly handouts and Flash or Illustrator files when necessary. When you download those handouts, you will find a very detailed set of step-by-step instructions instead of here online. A couple of other things about this blog: first, you should notice on the right-hand side that there is a Meebo chat window where you will be able to see whether I am online or not, and, if you have a question or a comment—or if you just want to say hi—you can do so by typing in a message and hitting enter; second, down at the bottom of this posting, you will find a place where you can publish comments of your own for everyone to see. Chances are that if you have a question, others in my classes will have the same question. So, please type something there. I will post a response quickly.
