Hi everybody,

Although I'm not yet finished looking at everyone's work, I have seen some wonderful drawings. And, although this blog posting is a bit later than usual, there are only two exercises and both of them can be done in the computer, so they shouldn't take you too long.

Week 6:
10/21/09: Wednesday, 9:00am & 12:30pm

Hi everybody,

There were some exceptional drawings in class this week. Nice work.

Love to see you all keep this progress up. Remember, next week is midterm and so ALL your work is due. You must give me your sketchbooks and you must give me ALL your files for this class. This includes all files you've already given me!!!! I'll repeat: ALL OF THE WORK UP TO NEXT WEEK IS DUE, INCLUDING THE INTRO EXERCISES THAT WE DO AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS EACH WEEK.

I think you all worked hard this week in class and did quite well with your drawing; however, I am concerned at how much work some of you have to do for next week. Below is a list of exactly what you should have for me.

Regarding homework for this week and the MIDTERM:
Please read ALL the instructions as to what to do for next week's class. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me.

This note is to inform you of two things due next week in the beginning of class:
  1. You must have your SKETCHBOOKS next week with ALL of the work we have done thus far both in class and for homework. Even if you have missed class, you are still responsible for ALL WORK.
  2. You must have your USB DRIVES with all of the COMPUTER DRAWINGS that we have done in class and for homework. This includes ALL of the exercises that you have already given to me at the beginning of each class. You must give me those files AGAIN next week.

Week 5:
10/07/09: Wednesday, 9:00am & 12:30pm

Hi everybody,

I hope you all have had a nice week off from drawing homework, and that your holiday yesterday (Monday) was a nice break.

Now, however, it is time to get back to work and back to drawing a little each day. If you want to save time, please pay attention to how much time I suggest you take on each exercise. Many of you spend quite a bit more than I suggest. Of course, it is up to you how much time you spend on drawing. The more time you spend, the more you will learn and undoubtedly the higher your grade.

If you haven't done so, please bring $4.00 to class next week so that I can distribute the plastic picture planes to those of you who do not have one yet. If you weren't here last week, I'll explain what we will be using them for in class next week.
